Su Wanyi, a top investment banker, always dreams of a boy in a white shirt yelling "Don't jump!" in a fire—until she meets Lin Shen, a drunk ex-narcotics cop. She recognizes the scar on his neck—it's from the knife he took for her a decade ago. Back then, Lin Shen risked his life to rescue her from a human trafficking ring; but after his informant died, he fell into guilt, quit the force, and became a "drunkard." Now it's Su Wanyi's turn to stand in the backlight: "This time I'll pull you out, just like you did for me." But Lin Shen hides a deeper secret behind his beer cans—he's been looking for her for ten years, terrified his "dirty" past will taint her light. Two souls desperate to warm each other but afraid to get close—they must cross the pain of the past and the inferiority of "I don't deserve you" to complete their mutual redemption.
