Su Xiaoman, a 30-something social animal, is bound by a "Spring Festival Marriage Pressure System." If she fails to bring a boyfriend home within 7 days, she'll be trapped in an endless loop of relatives' soul-crushing questions. Desperate, she "rents" Gu Jingshen, a mature and charming uncle-style heartthrob—who, behind his investment banker facade, is a hermit immortal descending to the mortal world for a "human life trial." Forced to team up, they face the Su family's "Spring Festival challenge": her mom's dowry list, her aunt's baby-making interrogations, a naughty kid's toy attack... Gu Jingshen handles everything effortlessly with his immortal powers, but slowly falls for Su Xiaoman; Su Xiaoman also shifts from "just getting through it" to "falling hard." But when the system's countdown ends and Gu Jingshen's trial nears its end, can their fairy-mortal love break free from fate's chains?
