Down-and-out musician Gu Yan hides in an old radio station for inspiration, accidentally meeting Lin Huan, a former sound editor who retired due to hearing loss. Gu Yan's guitar playing unexpectedly lets Lin Huan "hear" vague frequencies again, and the unfinished program tape Lin Huan hid is actually the last message from Gu Yan's mother that he missed years ago. Bound by "sound," they restart the "Hearing Joy" program—using strangers' stories to heal each other. But Lin Huan's hearing is deteriorating rapidly, and Gu Yan's musical dream is collapsing due to a copyright dispute. Can this adventure about "hearing" and "being loved" let them grasp the last light in each other's lives?
