New lawyer Su Xiao, determined to reopen her mother’s old case, sets her sights on Gu Jingshen, the CEO of Gu Group suspected of involvement. Mistaking Gu for the “mastermind,” she pretends to be an infatuated flirt to get evidence, then vanishes immediately after succeeding. But Su Xiao has no idea that Gu not only saw through her plan early but also secretly protected her from enemy threats—turns out he’s also a victim of that old case! Now it’s Gu’s turn to “fight back”: he waits outside her law firm with coffee every day and hands her mother’s old case file: “Lawyer Su, you flirted and fled? We need to settle the score.” As they play the game of “chasing and hiding,” they gradually uncover the truth of the past and each other’s hearts.
