Top agent Wen Wan picked up Lin Chuan, a tongue-tied “Gou Sheng” from a village, brought him to Beijing, spent all her savings to reshape his image and teach him acting. After three years of struggling, she finally turned him into the “National Best Actor” Lu Zhao. But once famous, Lu Zhao immediately hooked up with a popular actress, publicly called Wen Wan “annoying like a mom,” and even colluded with the company to steal her share. Wen Wan hid her tears and plotted revenge: first exposed Lu Zhao’s “dark history” of stealing peaches from neighbors in the village, then made all partners terminate contracts with him, and finally sent him back to the village for a “rural variety show.” When the former best actor was seen wearing floral pants picking corn in the field and mocked by the whole country as “the real Gou Sheng,” Wen Wan stood in front of the TV and sneered: “This is who you really are.”
