Lin Shen, an architect, falls into depression and his work declines after his wife Su Man dies in an accident. One day, he finds the figure of his late wife always follows him silently: arranging his messy documents, handing him hot soup when he breaks down, and even warning him to avoid traps when he is schemed against by partners. At first, Lin thinks it's an illusion, but until he finds Su Man's recorded voice, he realizes she turns into a 'shadow companion' because she couldn't let go of him—helping him get out of the haze and revealing the unspoken words she left before her death.
