Lin Zhi's "Rose Hook" fishing shop has a strange rule—every hook must be wrapped in rose thorns. Customers laugh at her for "afraid of being pricked by love," but only she knows it's a "love-breaking curse" tied with her first love Zhou Shiyan the day he disappeared three years ago. Until Zhou Shiyan bursts in wearing the same white T-shirt from back then, holding a thorny red rose and saying, "I'm here to break the curse." Lin Zhi is just about to fall for him when a woman in a gilded dress calls him "fiancé." She grabs a thorny hook to chase him away, but Zhou Shiyan takes out the hair tie they secretly wrapped into the thorns back then: "I went abroad to find your dad; she's my cousin." It turns out those thorns were never a "love break," but Zhou Shiyan's hidden promise: "I will come back." Now, he wants to replace the thorns with "our future."
