Li Zeping, a reclusive divine Chinese medicine healer, hides in a Jiangnan town to escape persecution from a powerful family he refused to treat. His peaceful life is shattered by Li Yiyi, the feisty owner of a herbal restaurant—she’s desperate to learn his “life-saving skills” to save her terminally ill grandma. But Li Zeping has a secret: while he can cure any disease, he suffers from “emotional aphasia” and hasn’t felt “love” in twenty years. Yiyi disrupts his life with sour plum soup splashed on his medicine jars, osmanthus cakes stuffed in his mouth, and midnight raids to steal his medical books. As they grow closer, Yiyi uncovers the soft past behind his cold facade. Just as their romance blooms, the powerful family returns, demanding he save their dying daughter—who turns out to be Yiyi’s long-lost elder sister!
