Zhao Guanyu is a cold-faced vice president at an investment bank, and He Tiantian is a newly recruited energetic intern. At work, they maintain a three-meter distance—Zhao always calls her “clumsy,” while Tiantian mocks him as a “robot without feelings,” even avoiding each other in the pantry. But no one knows that in their late-night apartment, Zhao makes ginger tea for the overworking Tiantian, and Tiantian secretly replaces his black coffee with hot milk. Before the company annual party, they pretend not to know each other in the corridor, only to huddle in the stairwell afterward, whispering about “what excuse to use to leave early.” When rumors of “Zhao chasing a female subordinate” spread through the company, their secret relationship is on the verge of exposure. Can they keep balancing “strangeness in public” and “intimacy in private”?
