Lin Xiaotang's fiancé's family always mocks her father as a "spineless vegetable farmer"—Lin Jianguo works in the fields with a hoe every day, gets chased by urban management when selling vegetables, and even lets neighbors take his land without a word. Until one day, the fiancé's family owes the gang 500,000 yuan, and a group of people block the door to smash the house. Lin Jianguo walks in slowly holding a dry tobacco pipe, and the gang leader suddenly kneels down: "Brother Qiang, why are you here?" It turns out that twenty years ago, Lin Jianguo was a famous "emergency savior" in the underworld—he helped a boss find his missing mother, took a knife for an entrepreneur, and finally retired to the countryside for his daughter. When the "weak dad's" past is revealed, those who called him "useless" are all dumbfounded, and Lin Xiaotang finally understands: her father's "weakness" is a gentle armor he kept for her all his life.
