Long Xiaoyue, a 300-year-old young dragon princess, is forced to go ashore for her "Human Mortal Trial." She stumbles into Taohua Village, a poor place where even crops struggle to grow. Using her dragon water-control magic to secretly water the fields, she’s caught by Lin Shen—a cold-faced ex-soldier turned village head, still haunted by a failed poverty-alleviation attempt. Lin is wary of this "heaven-sent helper" at first, but gradually softens to the cute, warm "milk bun." Just as things improve, a developer comes to seize the village for land sales. Xiaoyue must hide her dragon identity while helping Lin protect Taohua; little does she know, the ultimate test of her trial is learning the human meaning of "loving someone and guarding a home."
