Lin Xiaoman, a modern corporate slave, accidentally triggers her grandfather’s old wooden box while working overtime and travels back to 1985, ending up in the state-owned Hongguang Textile Factory. There, she meets Chen Xiangdong, a newly appointed workshop director who’s just argued with the old factory director over technical reform—he’s stubborn about “preserving workers’ hands as the root,” while she uses “e-commerce ideas” to help him grab orders. They go from bickering to secretly falling for each other. But with only 7 days left before the shuttle sends her back, torn between saving her modern career and his shining eyes when he chases ideals, she has to choose: return to the familiar present, or stay in this fiery era with him?
