Lin Chuan, a down-and-out urban youth, flees to the edge of the Northwest desert after losing everything in an investment failure, planning to "lie flat" in the wilderness. He stumbles into the territory of Zhao, a stubborn girl guarding sandy land—her father’s last wish was to "turn sand into fields," but she’s only grown three trees in three years. Lin proposes a "sand fixation + cash crop" plan with his agronomy knowledge, but Zhao calls him a "charlatan who only talks on paper." From bickering to collaborating, they fight sandstorms, save dying seedlings, and stand against黑心 mine owners trying to buy the land cheaply. When the first goji berry forest sprouts from the sand, Lin realizes he’s fallen for both the land and Zhao—and their goal isn’t just to be the "Overlord of the Northwest," but to lead herders to prosperity together.
