Lin Xiaoman returns to her hometown to sort out her grandfather's abandoned wasteland tea garden, and accidentally finds in his diary that the old tea trees hide a 1998 secret from the West Slope tea area—back then, a tea master left to protect a rare tea species, while her grandfather hid a recipe to improve tea trees on the wasteland. Meanwhile, the father of her childhood friend Su Yu is secretly digging tea saplings. Xiaoman's return disrupts his plan and forces her to choose between exposing the commercial crisis and guarding her grandfather's secret. As past pieces come together, she resolves family knots and gains growth and love.
