Lin Shen, an 'oddity' in the legal circle, is a genius lawyer who specializes in helping suspects 'calculate the cost of surrender'. When a delivery man who hit someone and fled came to him for help, Lin didn't seek connections; instead, he took the man to meet the victim's mother, who stroked her son's photo and said, 'He talked about buying me cotton shoes before he left.' Then Lin calculated the price of fleeing: no calls home, no ID use, even a hot bowl of noodles felt risky. After the delivery man surrendered in tears, the victim's family surprisingly sent a thank-you banner—not for forgiveness, but because Lin made the culprit face his mistake. Colleagues called him a 'career wrecker', and the law firm tried to fire him, but Lin hung the banner in his office: 'A lawyer's job isn't to help people escape guilt, but to find the bravest way to live.' In the next 100 cases, he'll persuade a domestic abuser, an embezzling accountant... Every 'persuasion' is a game of human nature.
