When Hongtu Gu, the harbor's shipping tycoon, falls critically ill, his family hurries to find the 'blessing child' lost years ago to ward off misfortune—only to bring back Lin Xiaoman, a fishergirl with braids from a coastal village. Gu Jingshen, the cold and skeptical eldest son, dismisses her as a fraud and antagonizes her at every turn. But Xiaoman revives his grandfather with homemade ginger-jujube tea, recreates his old voyage route with seashells, and even saves Jingshen from a shipwreck using her fisherman's skill of reading clouds. Just as Jingshen's frozen heart thaws, an old photo under Xiaoman's pillow is exposed—the woman in it is Jingshen's late mother! A farce of 'blessing' hides a 20-year-old secret. Is Xiaoman's arrival a blessing or a curse?
