In the 1980s, Min Jie, a textile factory technician, fell into despair after the factory went bankrupt. He grew cold to his wife Cui Xiaoxuan and even proposed divorce to leave for the south. But the soft yet stubborn Xiaoxuan refused to give up—she waited for him outside the factory gate every day with their three-year-old son, using her private savings to buy wool and knit scarves to coax him; at night, she pored over old account books to find a way to save the factory and even gathered neighborhood aunts to form a "family textile group". However, Min Jie found her "too clingy and thoughtless". It wasn't until one day Xiaoxuan disappeared with their son that he found her hidden "Textile Factory Revival Plan" under the pillow—and realized this "sweet wife" had long engraved his dream into her very bones.
