Lin Xiaoman (played by Liu Sansi), a corporate slave burning the midnight oil for KPI, runs into her first love Gu Jingshen (played by Yao Yuchen) — the boy who once shared instant noodles with her, now the investment tycoon controlling her company’s fate — in the office stairwell. Misunderstandings five years ago made her flee without looking back, but Gu Jingshen clings to her like a snake to its prey: he fills her schedule with "project对接", tears down her walls with "returning old belongings", and even waits silently downstairs during her overtime, handing her a still-warm stomach-nourishing congee. His paranoia hides the unsaid "I’ve looked for you for five years", her resistance masks the unadmitted "I never forgot". When Gu Jingshen takes out the crumpled love letter draft she wrote and tore up back then, Lin Xiaoman finally realizes: his "clinging" was never about possession — it’s fear of losing the girl who once lit up his youth all over again.
