Yelv Lie, young lord of the northern Wolf Tribe, ventures into the Central Plains with his clan’s ancestral wolf-head token, determined to prove his people’s combat skills through “orthodox martial virtue.” But his journey starts in chaos—he’s scammed out of money by a fake medicine peddler in Luoyang, ambushed by traps when challenging the Iron Palm Gang, and even the herbalist girl who saves him hides sleeping powder. Yelv Lie yells at the Yellow River, “The Central Plains have no martial virtue!” Little does he know: the scammer needs money for his dying mother, the gang’s traps fend off bandits, and the girl’s powder protects him from enemies. As truths unfold, Yelv Lie realizes the Central Plains’ “martial virtue” isn’t about rigid rules—it’s the kindness in daily life, the warmth hidden behind “unconventional” acts.
