17-year-old Lin Xiaoman was a notorious troublemaker in Qingqiu Village, always up to mischief like stealing chickens. Until the day he broke into the ancient sealed temple in the back mountain to save a neighbor’s little sister bitten by a viper—when his finger touched the bronze plaque, golden patterns covered his body. He became the "Heaven-Sealing Pillar," tasked with using his life to suppress Xuanchi, the millennium-old evil creature about to break free. But Xuanchi’s phantom revealed a shock: his mother, missing for a decade, had "faked her death" to stop Xuanchi. Torn between the village’s survival and finding his mom, the teen clenched the golden contract sword and shouted: "I’ll protect the village AND find my mother!" When Xuanchi’s tail swept over the old locust tree, the clash of sword and scales hid two lifetimes of bonds and an unspoken "I’m sorry."
