Lin Xiaoman, a "bad luck magnet" in advertising, had her proposals rejected for three months straight—her supervisor even threatened, "Fail again and you're out." On the day her rent was due, she spent her last 2,000 yuan to save an elderly man with a heart attack at the subway entrance. Little did she know this "loss-making" kindness would change her life: the old man was Mr. Zhou, founder of top creative firm "Qingyun" (Azure Clouds), and his granddaughter Zhou Xiaotang, Qingyun's GM, was the "drenched girl" Lin had given an umbrella to the week before. When Zhou Xiaotang slammed Lin's rejected "Street Kindness" proposal on the table and said, "This is our annual theme," Lin realized: the kindness she once thought "useless" had long become a light, guiding her to her dream of "Qingyun." When her supervisor came begging for help? She smiled and pulled out the torn proposal: "You said kindness can't feed you? Now it's given me the best bowl."
