Lin Xiaoman, an urban office worker, picks up an ancient bronze lamp on her way home from an all-night overtime shift, only to release Gu Zhao—a celestial being banished to the mortal world. Bound by the "Night Lamp System", he must help her fulfill three "altruistic wishes" to return to heaven. A sarcastic immortal who mocks modern life as "absurd"—complaining about takeout lacking "immortal flavor" and ridiculing elevators as "mortal cages"—teams up with a sharp-tongued office worker who teaches him to use phones and order milk tea. Together, they solve trivial urban problems: finding a lost cat for a独居elderly woman, exposing workplace scapegoating for a wronged colleague. Their bickering hides growing affection. But the final wish demands Lin sacrifice her own happiness. Will Gu choose to return to heaven… or stay by her side as her eternal "night lamp companion"?
