Devoted housewife Lin Wei initially sees her husband Chen Mo's massive life insurance policy for her as a token of love—until he lures her to the rooftop on her birthday for a murder disguised as an accident. A lightning strike during the attack awakens Lin's psychic ability to hear thoughts. Returning home "with amnesia," she navigates a dangerous game, feigning ignorance while listening to Chen Mo's murderous plans and his mistress's taunts. As she gathers evidence, Lin uncovers his ties to a criminal syndicate. When Chen raises his knife again, Lin meets him with a chilling smile and a gun: "Can you hear it?
