Lin Xiaochuan, a socially anxious modern otaku, is exploited at work and fails repeatedly in love—until a handsome ancient man named Lin Yufeng suddenly emerges from an old painting in his home, claiming to be his "Casanova ancestor"—rumored to have charmed thousands in the past, now vowing to help his descendant "counterattack in love". But the ancestor's ancient flirting tricks are total disasters in modern times: love poems are mistaken for harassment, "heroically saving the beauty" knocks over a milk tea shop, and he even scares the female lead Su Xiao (a socially anxious programmer) into running away. What's more outrageous? Lin Xiaochuan discovers that the ancestor's "Casanova achievements" were all made up by his old follower—he’s actually a "paper tiger" who never even held a girl’s hand! While bickering, they’re forced to cooperate: Lin Xiaochuan teaches the ancestor about "modern sincerity", and the ancestor helps Lin Xiaochuan dare to "face his feelings". With Su Xiao’s appearance, the two "love losers" finally realize: the sweetest counterattack is never about tricks—it’s the courage to show your true heart.
