Lin Chuan is the top scorer of the Jiangshi College Entrance Exam, but his low profile makes him a target for Zhou Mingjie, a rich second-generation bully. Zhou humiliates him publicly as a "bookworm who only knows how to study" and even smashes the milk tea shop where Lin works—the only source of money for his terminally ill mother's medical bills. However, Zhou has no idea that this "bookworm" with black-rimmed glasses is actually the last descendant of the hidden Xuanmen sect "Taichu Pavilion," with an ancient fire spirit vein sealed in his body. When his mother's medical fees are stolen and his best friend is threatened, Lin finally drops his disguise: the crimson lotus karmic fire rising from his palm burns Zhou's luxury car to ashes, and Xuanmen techniques shatter Zhou's "connections"—it turns out Zhou's father's company has long been targeted by the police for gang involvement, and Lin holds irrefutable evidence of their crimes. Even more shocking, the mysterious organization behind Zhou is eyeing Lin's fire spirit vein... A passionate showdown between the "top scorer" and "dark forces" begins!
