Lin Shen, a food deliveryman in the city, strays into the empty mountain on the outskirts while making a delivery. Lured by a mournful deer call to an ancient cave, he accidentally obtains a jade pendant of the Deer Clan’s inheritance—revealing he is the last blood descendant of the ancient Deer Clan. Meanwhile, an evil cultivator organization is plotting to activate a demon formation under the empty mountain, which requires sacrificing Deer Clan blood to resurrect a demon god. Lin Shen struggles to survive in the city while hiding his identity, learns secret techniques from A Yao, a Deer Clan girl, and evades the evil cultivators’ pursuit. When the evil cultivators break the mountain’s seal, he holds the Deer Call Sword awakened by his own blood, shouting at the demon formation amid the blood mist: ‘I, Lin Shen, inherit the Deer Clan’s fate—so I shall guard this world’s peace!’ A passionate battle about bloodline and faith begins.
