In 1942, a severe drought struck northern Henan. The villagers of Taohua Village were so hungry they ate tree bark. Sixteen-year-old Lin Xiaotang, fleeing famine with her grandma, accidentally activated the "Survival Supply System" — small deeds like carrying water for the elderly or teaching kids to identify edible weeds let her exchange for bacon, rice, even quilts. But when she gave bacon to Aunt Wang, who fainted from hunger, the villagers accused her of "stealing from the landlord" and the village chief wanted to tie her up to pay debts. Worse, a bandit gang of famine refugees from a nearby village heard "Taohua Village has a girl who can produce grain" and broke into the temple at night to kidnap her. Lin Xiaotang has to hide the system’s secret, save her dying grandma, and clear up the villagers’ misunderstanding… Can she rely on the system to protect the people she loves through this famine?
