Lin Wan, a cultural relic restorer, takes on the restoration of the century-old "Yuxiang Residence" and runs into Gu Zhao, a returned architect—her lover who vanished without a word three years prior. Hidden in the ancient window carvings is the silver hairpin he never gave her, and his yellowed design sketches are filled with "Wait for me." On a rainy autumn night, Lin Wan finds Gu Zhao’s old diary and learns he left to pay her father’s debts, choosing silence to avoid burdening her. When Gu Zhao stands in the rain with an old umbrella, holding the restored hairpin and saying "I never let go," their longing finally breaks free from the chains of misunderstanding amid the pattering autumn rain.
