Rebellious teen Lin Xiaoshu triggers a crisis when he breaks the branch of a century-old ginkgo tree, causing strict retired teacher Chen Mo to collapse from a stroke. Forced to care for the teacher, Xiaoshu discovers a yellowed album where each preserved ginkgo leaf documents a troubled student's transformation. When he finds a childhood photo of himself with the teacher under the last blank leaf, the autumn wind carries a revelation about the true meaning of mentorship.
