Qiu Chan, a fairy from the cultivation realm, never experienced summer and accidentally destroyed the Spiritual Summer Tree that sustains human summer. Banished to the mortal world, she reincarnates as Su Xiaochan—a broke, unremarkable city girl cheated on by her boyfriend. Bound to the "Redemption of Summer" system, she’s forced into ridiculous tasks: eating ten ice creams till she has a stomachache, crashing her bike into the cold CEO Gu Jingchuan, helping an old flower seller escape urban management... As tasks unfold, Su finds Gu hides fragments of the Spiritual Summer Tree, and her definition of "summer" shifts from a "season" to "watermelons shared with him, evening breezes together, and petty squabbles that feel like home". When the system demands her return to immortality, she realizes: the true "immortality" worth chasing is the warm, mundane love in the human world.
