Bai Su, a thousand-year-old spirit lord, hides in the mortal world to avoid heavenly tribulation and runs a "Rebirth Paper Offering Shop" at the alley, usually only helping departed souls to their final rest. One day, the richest An family in the city comes for help—since the young mistress married in, she has been screaming every night, and all Taoist priests invited are driven mad by an evil spirit. Bai Su didn't want to interfere but couldn't refuse the old lady who knelt at his door, so he agreed. However, as soon as he entered the An mansion, he was mocked by the An young master and guests: "A paper craftsman dares to exorcise evil?" It wasn't until the evil spirit appeared and choked the young mistress's neck that Bai Su finally got serious—he condensed the power of life and death at his fingertips, and with a wave of his hand, the evil spirit vanished into ashes. Everyone present collapsed to the ground, and the young master turned pale as death—turns out he secretly raised the evil spirit to seize the family property!
