Lin Shen, a psychiatrist at a mental hospital, is trapped in a vortex recently: his wife Su Xiao keeps saying there are "strange hairs" and "tampered drawers" at home, insisting he's "hiding a secret"; his colleague Zhou Ming suddenly reports him for "abusing drugs in patient treatment" and even produces a "fake prescription" with his signature. While comforting his wife that "it's just stress from your deadline", Lin Shen investigates Zhou Ming and finds that Zhou is embezzling the hospital's charity funds to frame him. But just as he's about to expose Zhou, his wife bursts into tears and shows him a video—he's in pajamas holding a fruit knife beside the bed, while she's trembling in the corner... Is Lin Shen really having a mental breakdown from long-term contact with patients? Or is his wife misled and his colleague setting a trap? In this game of "madness and wakefulness", who is the "real madman" hiding behind the mask?
