After losing her job, Su Wan stumbled upon a niche task platform that promised "make money just by taking photos" while scrambling to afford her sister's surgery. Taking random shots of street scenes, odds and ends or daily meals earned her far more money than she expected. But as she uploaded more photos, she started getting harassing messages, her home address and commute route were leaked, and someone even followed her home.
