Lin Xiaoman, a battered office drone, just survived a trio of disasters: getting fired, catching her boyfriend cheating, and being rejected for a job for being “too idealistic.” Resolved to “lay low in her hometown,” she books the last flight home—only to get upgraded to business class due to an overbooked economy cabin. Next to her sits Lu Zhao, a stoic man who hands her a hot cocoa to soothe her breakdown, then tosses her a “tough job”: revising a proposal killed by a client—the exact project she botched in the interview! Lin nails it with a “unedited plan” she’s stored in her notes for three years, but Lu suddenly smirks: “Lin Xiaoman, I’ve been looking for you for seven years—for that bottle of water you gave me in high school.” Turns out he’s the “invisible kid” she defended from bullying back then, now the CEO of a top-tier tech company. This “upgrade” isn’t a coincidence—it’s a three-year reunion plot he planned: to turn the light she gave him into a lifeline for her.
