Lin Shen, a former genius researcher at an international agricultural technology company, retired to the countryside to be a "farming dad" to care for his 5-year-old daughter Xiaotang, left by his late wife. He just wanted a quiet life with Xiaotang and his rice fields—until Xiaotang bragged at kindergarten, "My dad is a super farm tycoon!" This brought reporters, capitalists fighting over his "ecological rice seed" patent, and even his ex-wife's wealthy family, who claimed he was "unfit" and tried to take Xiaotang away. When his cold, scientific mind clashes with chaotic parenting, and his drive to protect Xiaotang collides with his farming business falling apart, Lin Shen realizes: he never just planted rice—he grew a "security paddy" for Xiaotang, and kept his promise to his wife: "Give our child roots." And the experimental data hidden in the rice ears? It’s already quietly tying together his wife’s final "gift"...
