When their mother falls critically ill and needs 600,000 yuan for surgery, the eldest brother refuses to contribute a cent and seizes their parents' house and savings under the pretext of being the 'head of the family'. He even mocks his younger sister Xu Jing, saying 'A married daughter is like water spilled out'. Desperate, Xu Jing, who used to prioritize family ties deeply, decides to take legal action. She collects evidence of her brother's illegal occupation of family property and sues him in court, demanding he fulfill maintenance obligations and return the assets belonging to their parents. After several legal battles, Xu Jing wins the case, raises the surgery fee for her mother, and finally breaks free from the shackles of her original family.
