Shen Zhixia returns to the northwest to restore the ancient town's intangible cultural heritage, only to run into Cheng Yanshen, whom she hasn't seen in ten years. She once left in anger over his “refusal to go with her,” but now she finds him guarding the rural library they co-founded—his shelf still holds her unclaimed sketchbook. Old wall graffiti, late-night stargazing with wine, and when she finds his ten years of unsent letters, she finally understands: his “staying” was never giving up. He kept their unfinished dream alive for her, and hid his unspoken love. The world is vast, but the most touching wait is me standing where we started, waiting for you to turn back and see me.
