Shen Wanyi's sister died mysteriously at "Moonlight Homestay," ruled a suicide by the police. However, she found a photo of the homestay owner in her sister's relics. To uncover the truth, she disguised herself as a housekeeper and got a job there, only to bump into Lu Jingshen, a rich second-generation hiding from a forced marriage. Lu proposed a "contract marriage"—he would help her investigate, and she would help him fend off matchmaking, binding them together. But after moving in, strange "accidents" occurred one after another at the homestay: guests' sleeping pills were replaced with poison, crying was heard from the end of the corridor every night, and most terrifyingly, Wanyi found that her sister's death scene was identical to her current room... As the shadow of the killer loomed, they realized that the homestay's secret was far more than just one death—it was a ten-year-old revenge plot, and they had long been pawns in the game.
