Meng Lu plays Lin Xiaoman, who accidentally transmigrates into a clichéd romance drama as the "cannon fodder female supporting character". Per the system's rules, she must give up her fiancé for the female lead and help her best friend/sister-in-law Su Wan (Wang Junyu) be a "short-lived tool"—dying to highlight the female lead's tenderness. But Su Wan has already awakened! She realizes she's a system-controlled "plot-kill" target and can't tolerate it anymore. Teaming up, they rebel: Lin Xiaoman exposes the male lead's two-faced nature and refuses to break the engagement; Su Wan finds a divine doctor before her "plot-mandated death" and turns the system's "lethal prescription" into a business plan. As more doomed supporting characters awaken, the system intensifies its "plot corrections"—the male lead begs for reconciliation, Su Wan's "illness" returns. Can they hold onto their lives and rewrite all supporting roles' fates?
