During a catastrophic drought, poor scholar Chen Mo's wife Su Wan faints from starvation in a dilapidated temple. Just as he's about to lose hope, he binds to the "Two Realms Food Luck System"—which lets him travel to the modern world to work at a breakfast shop and earn steamed buns, then bring them back to the ancient world where food is scarce. But the system upgrades with a new mission: he needs 999 "sincere buns" (given voluntarily by modern customers touched by his love) to fully cure Su Wan's chronic illness. Will he make it in time?
