Burnt-out advertising copywriter Su Wan wraps up overtime late on a crisp autumn night, only to be stranded by a sudden thick fog blanketing downtown Beijing. With no taxis in sight, she wanders into a forgotten alley she’s always avoided, only to spot her doppelganger arguing with her boyfriend—who claims his girlfriend has been missing for a full week. Her phone suddenly displays her own death countdown: just 12 hours left. As the fog swallows the alley’s streetlights, a misty face identical to hers slowly emerges from the darkness behind her.
