Celestial immortal Gu Yan descends to the mortal world to repay a past-life karmic debt, only to find his former wife Su Wan in the modern world—terminally ill and cast out by her relatives. From their past-life mutual respect to this life's loneliness, how can Gu Yan bear it? He uses immortal magic to condense spiritual spring water to cure Su Wan's lung disease, but his ignorance of modern rules leads to laughs—he's scolded for 'wasting money' when he puts immortal dew in a mineral water bottle, and mistaken for a 'medical troublemaker' when he uses magic to erase her medical records. While secretly using his powers to extend Su Wan's life, he clumsily learns 'modern dating': adding spiritual honey to milk tea only to be told 'too sweet', and reciting 'no impropriety' three times before holding her hand. As Su Wan's condition miraculously improves and they rediscover their past-life tenderness, the celestial realm's 'trial' quietly arrives—he must cut off his mortal ties to return to his immortal position? Gu Yan swings his sword at the Heavenly Dao: 'What I want is never the immortal throne, but her life.' Watch how the immortal reverses life and death with magic, defies rules with sincerity, and writes a 'celestial-mortal mutual sweet counterattack' in the city!
