Lin Wu, an office worker who’s hidden her crush for three years, witnesses高冷 CEO He Jingzhou being publicly humiliated by his ex. To help him save face, she impulsively claims, "I’m his girlfriend," and even proposes a "contract relationship"—only until they push the ex away. She thought it was just an act, but He Jingzhou gradually takes it too seriously: he secretly switches her coffee to double sugar, slips her a hand warmer during overtime, and even gives her the cold shoulder when she talks to male colleagues. As the contract’s countdown begins, Lin Wu realizes that the first one to fall into the "love trap" is the CEO who said, "I never fall for anyone..."
