Lin Xiaoman, a young antique appraiser at a domestic museum, receives a half-jade fragment from her dying grandmother, who asks her to retrieve the family’s lost heirloom—the Jade Screen. To fulfill this wish, she quits her stable job and becomes a "global antique hustler." But in a Paris flea market, she clashes with Chen Mo, a Chinese-American富二代 disguised as a street vendor, over a Qing Dynasty snuff bottle. To their shock, the bottle bears her grandmother’s name. Forced to team up—Lin needs Chen’s connections to find the Jade Screen, while Chen needs her expertise to recover his family’s stolen Song Dynasty porcelain—they travel across London’s old bookstores, Tokyo’s black markets, and Cairo’s spice bazaars. Along the way, they outwit forgers and smugglers, and uncover her grandmother’s secret: she once loved a British collector, and the Jade Screen holds their unspoken love and a promise to return cultural relics to their homeland. When they finally locate the Jade Screen in Chen’s family vault, they learn Chen’s grandfather was the collector’s apprentice. Now, the once-hostile partners face a conflict over the Jade Screen’s ownership. But her grandmother’s diary reveals the truth—she never wanted to "take it back," but to "bring it home." Chen, once a playboy, has become a true guardian of relics. Can they overcome family grievances and fulfill the promise of two generations?
