Lin Wan, a design student studying abroad, receives news of her grandma's critical illness on her graduation day. Rushing home, she finds her family's century-old woodcarving factory deeply in debt, and her uncle is plotting to sell the workshop to pay off loans. On her deathbed, Grandma grabs her hand and says, "Bring back—the warmth we lost." To fulfill the last wish, Lin Wan fights her uncle to save the factory while searching for the "township woodcarving" hidden in the old ancestral hall—the soul of the family's "living wood grain" technique. But she runs into Gu Chuan, who used to learn woodcarving from Grandma with her as kids. Now he's the chief designer of a rival company, tasked with poaching the factory's master craftsmen. From clashing to collaborating to decode the carvings' secrets, they unexpectedly uncover the past: Lin Wan's parents were ostracized by the family for insisting on tradition. When the last piece of the woodcarving fits together, Lin Wan finally understands—the glory of the family isn't a gilded sign, but the persistence of generations, carving their heartbeat into every piece of wood.
