Modern food blogger Lin Xiaoman wakes up as a peasant girl in a famine-stricken year. Her brother and sister-in-law are honest but poor, with three starving nieces and nephews so thin they’re skin and bones—even the village dog has more food than her family! Using her past-life cooking skills, she roasts sweet potatoes with ash and turns wild vegetables into porridge, catching the eye of Gu Zhao, a cold-faced hunter from the next village, who comes to trade grain. When the village bully tries to steal their food? She whips out spicy pickled cabbage with steamed buns, making the bully beg for mercy! To her surprise, a “food system” hidden in her sleeve activates: “Host, make 100 famine-era dishes to unlock the time-space store!” While feeding her family to fullness, she also falls in love with Gu Zhao. Lin Xiaoman laughs: Famine? Not on my watch—I’m turning this into a “beloved food feast”!
