A small aquarium on the verge of closure faces a crisis as its star orca suddenly stops eating and performing. Veterinarians and senior trainers are at a loss, with the owner preparing to shut down. An 8-year-old kid pulls him and says crisply, “The orca is crying; it misses its mom’s voice.” No one believes the kid at first, until the owner plays the kid’s recorded seabed whale song — the once listless orca slowly pokes its head out to eat. The story “8-year-old speaks whale language to save the orca” goes viral, turning the bankrupt aquarium into a top hit. This warm, heartwarming drama becomes a summer sensation.
