Lin Chuan, an orphan working as a delivery rider, struggles to make ends meet every day. One day, he's suddenly stopped by a sick couple who claim he's their long-lost son, needing a huge sum for medical treatment. To save his "parents," Lin Chuan grits his teeth and joins a high-risk medical experiment, risking his life for money. But when he collapses from experiment side effects, coughing up blood, he uncovers the truth: the couple are actually the steward and maid of a top wealthy family. The "recognition" and "serious illness" are all a test from the elderly patriarch—to see if his long-lost grandson has the "courage to risk his life for family." Angry at being a "test subject" yet confused about whether his feelings for the "parents" are real or manipulated, Lin Chuan is about to unravel more complicated family feuds behind the wealthy family's doors...
