Up-and-coming forensic pathologist Lin Zhan takes over a bizarre murder case, where the victim was killed by the rare and highly toxic plant gelsemium. All evidence points to her fiancé Shen Yan, who died in an "accident" three years prior. Defying pressure to drop the case, she reopens the investigation, only to uncover a decades-old drug ring. Colleagues and elders around her all hold secrets tied to gelsemium. When the deadly toxin turns up in her personal belongings, Lin Zhan realizes she’s been targeted by the seductively fatal "kiss" and has become the hunter’s prey.
