Lin Xiaoman, an advertising company scapegoat, is being forced to resign by her PUA boss when her grandpa is suddenly hospitalized. On his deathbed, he clutches a 1985 middle school photo and mutters, "Find Principal Zhou." The next day, a cold, handsome teenager named Zhou Mingchuan in a blue school uniform knocks on the door—he’s actually grandpa’s "colleague" from back then, frozen at 18 due to an experiment accident, returning to keep their promise of "fixing the classroom windows." To fulfill grandpa’s last wish, Zhou moves in with Lin, only to get dragged into her work troubles: he uses the 80s "stalking clients for three days" method to help her land a big deal, and shuts down her PUA boss by "reading a self-criticism in public." They go from bickering about "frozen fossil" vs. "miserable corporate slave" to having their hearts flutter when Zhou whispers, "You look just like old Lin when you’re angry," while flipping through grandpa’s old diary at night. But a call from the lab shatters the warmth—Zhou’s body is starting to "thaw," and he has only 3 months left. Then the last page of grandpa’s diary is revealed: "After Xiao Zhou left in 1985, I always thought of him in his blue uniform. If he comes back, tell him I loved his experiments too." And Zhou has a note hidden: "Old Lin, when the experiment succeeds, I’ll take you to Tiananmen Square." It turns out their meeting was a "sweet trap" grandpa set—Zhou’s return isn’t just to keep his promise to grandpa, but also to fall in love with Lin, who’s just as "stubborn" as her grandpa.
